AI logo to vector
Your AI-generated logo is a picture made of pixels. Sign shops, embroiderers, vinyl cutters and screen printers need clean vector paths. We rebuild your artwork by hand as genuine, editable vector shapes — fixing lettering and simplifying details where the original would not survive production.
We review your file before quoting and explain what can be reconstructed faithfully and what needs to change. Remote service for Atlanta-area businesses.
The problem
Tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, Ideogram and online logo generators produce raster images — grids of colored pixels. On a phone screen they can look finished. The trouble starts when you need the logo somewhere else.
A printer enlarging a 1024-pixel image for a banner gets soft, blocky edges. An embroidery digitizer cannot trace gradients and glow effects into thread. A vinyl cutter needs closed paths, not a photo. And many AI images contain lettering that looks like words at a glance but has extra strokes, merged letters or misspellings up close.
A vector file describes shapes mathematically: points, curves and fills. It can scale from a pen to a billboard without losing sharpness, and every element can be edited — a color changed, a letter adjusted, a layout rearranged. That is what professional production work expects.
How it works
Every project follows the same honest sequence. Illustrations on this page are demonstrations, not client files.
We look at your image at full size and check lettering, fine details, effects, colors and how the design behaves when shrunk to icon size.
We identify distorted letters, uneven curves, broken symmetry and details too small to print or stitch.
We recommend a faithful redraw, a simplified redraw, or a light redesign — and explain why before you approve the quote.
We rebuild the logo point by point as clean paths, replacing AI lettering with real or carefully drawn type where needed.
You review a proof. We check it in one color, reversed, at small sizes and at large sizes.
You receive vector masters plus PNG and PDF exports for web, print and production use.
Raster enhancement (making pixels look sharper) and vector reconstruction (redrawing shapes as paths) are different services. If you only need a sharper image for screens, see our AI logo to high resolution service.
What can be rebuilt
Being honest about this up front saves time and money. Most AI logos fall into one of three groups.
Clean, simple designs. Flat shapes, a limited color palette and clear lettering can usually be redrawn very close to the original. The result looks like your image, only crisp and editable.
Detailed or effect-heavy designs. Photographic textures, glows, metallic gradients, painterly brush strokes and tiny ornamental details are not natural vector shapes. We can recreate the spirit of them with vector gradients or simplified shapes, but the result will differ from the image. For embroidery and screen printing, simplification is often required anyway.
Designs with broken lettering. If the AI tool invented letterforms or misspelled your name, a straight trace would preserve the mistakes. We replace the text with a properly spaced typeface or custom-drawn lettering that matches the style, and we show you the change before finalizing.
Before work begins, we tell you which group your logo falls into and what the finished vector will look like. You approve those differences — they are part of the agreement, not a surprise at delivery.
Auto-trace vs. hand redraw
Software can convert pixels to paths in seconds. The results rarely hold up in production.
Hand-built vector
Shapes are constructed intentionally, point by point.
Automatic trace
Quick, but it copies every flaw it sees.
File types
This catches a lot of owners out. SVG, EPS, PDF and AI are formats that can hold vector artwork — but they can also hold an embedded raster image. Someone can place your blurry PNG inside an SVG wrapper, and the file name will look right while the artwork is still pixels.
A genuine vector logo opens in Illustrator, Inkscape or Affinity Designer as individual shapes you can select and edit. Zoom in as far as you like and the edges stay sharp. Our deliverables are checked for exactly that before they leave the studio. Typical finals include:
Your quote lists the exact files. If your printer or installer has specific requirements, send them over and we will prepare to that specification. Always confirm your production provider’s specifications before a large order.
Rights and ownership
We provide technical refinement, cleanup and vector reconstruction where agreed. Delivering new files does not by itself establish exclusive copyright, trademark rights or ownership of the underlying AI-generated artwork, and we cannot transfer rights we do not hold. Supplying an account email, prompts, source images or editable files does not by itself resolve those questions either.
The U.S. Copyright Office has said that material generated entirely by AI is generally not protected by copyright, while human-authored contributions may be. Where we redraw or redesign elements, that work is human-created — but how it affects your rights depends on the details. If ownership or trademark registration matters to your business, speak with a qualified intellectual-property attorney. Read our full AI artwork notice on the Disclaimers page.

Where the files go
The same logo often needs slightly different preparation depending on where it ends up. These are the questions we plan for during reconstruction.
Cut vinyl and routed signs follow the outer edges of each shape, so paths must be closed, overlapping pieces merged and thin hairlines thickened. Gradients usually become solid colors. Your sign shop will also ask for the finished size and how far the sign will be viewed from.
Thread cannot reproduce tiny text, soft shadows or gradients. A good embroidery version uses fewer colors, bolder letters and simple shapes. We prepare the vector; your embroiderer then digitizes it into a stitch file for their machines.
Each ink color in screen printing is usually a separate screen, so a limited palette saves money. Direct-to-film printing handles more color but still benefits from crisp edges and a transparent background.
Trucks and vans are viewed from a distance and at speed, often at an angle. Short names, high contrast and a simplified mark work best. Wrap installers will need vector artwork plus the vehicle template they use.
Getting started
The more we can see, the more precise the recommendation. When you submit a request, include as much of the following as you have:
We reply with a clear recommendation — faithful redraw, simplified redraw or light redesign — a price and an expected schedule. Nothing starts until you approve.
Questions
It depends on complexity. Simple flat designs cost less than detailed illustrations or logos that need new lettering. Send the image and we will quote after reviewing it — custom logo projects generally start at $125–$200 for comparison.
Simple designs can be very close. Detailed effects, textures and broken lettering need to be simplified or corrected. We show you those differences in a proof before finalizing.
Yes. That is one of the most common requests. We replace the text with a suitable typeface or custom lettering that matches the style.
The largest original you have, straight from the AI tool — not a screenshot or a version saved from social media. If you still have your prompt and other variations, those help too.
The vector file is the right starting point. Embroidery digitizing is a separate step done by your embroiderer; we can simplify the design so it stitches cleanly. Ask your provider for their requirements.
File delivery does not by itself create exclusive copyright or trademark rights in AI-generated material. See our AI artwork notice and consult an attorney if registration matters to you.
Many simple conversions can move quickly. Ask about same-day availability; we confirm realistic timing after reviewing the file.
