How to Choose a Logo Designer in Atlanta: 10 Questions to Ask First

Designers reviewing color swatches and sketches

Quick answer: Choose a logo designer whose real portfolio matches the style and industry you need, who explains the process in writing, and whose quote clearly lists the number of concepts, revision rounds, final file types (including vector files), ownership terms, timeline and price. Ask the ten questions below before you pay anything.

The 10 questions

  1. Can I see logos you designed for businesses like mine? Look for range and for real client work, not only mockups.
  2. Who actually does the design? Know whether you are working with the designer or a middleman.
  3. How many initial concepts are included?
  4. How many revision rounds, and what counts as a round?
  5. Which files will I receive? You want AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and PNG, plus one-color and reversed versions.
  6. Is the design original? Ask whether templates, stock icons or AI images are used.
  7. Who owns the final logo, and is that in writing?
  8. What is the timeline, and how do you communicate? Phone, text, email or meetings.
  9. What is the total price, and when do I pay?
  10. What happens after delivery if a printer needs a different file?

Red flags

  • No vector files, or “vector files cost extra” after the fact.
  • Portfolios full of generic templates or the same style for every industry.
  • Unclear ownership or no written agreement.
  • Requests for card numbers by phone or text.
  • Reviews that cannot be traced to a real platform.

Local vs remote designers

Many Atlanta owners now work with designers remotely. What matters is responsiveness, clear proofs and the right files — not a shared zip code. We are upfront about our model: Logo Design Atlanta serves Atlanta-area businesses remotely by phone, text and email from our studio in Houston, Texas. We do not offer in-person appointments.

How we answer these questions

Our written quote lists concepts, revision rounds, files, timing and price before any payment. Custom logos typically start at $125–$200. See our portfolio, read how much a logo costs, or learn about our custom logo process.
